Technology & Innovation

Students explore the impact of smart devices in society, protecting patients with automotive safety, helping humanity with bioengineering, empowering remote villages with renewable energy, and aerospace engineering with drones.

8th Grade

Innovating with STEM

Students build Seaperch ROVs to compete in underwater challenges and learn Fusion 360 CAD software for 3D printing and designing and building solar cars.  As a Capstone project, students apply the “Art of Innovation” mindset to design, build and market a product prototype in a “Shark Tank” style challenge. 

8th Grade

Robotics & Innovation

Students are introduced to the fundamentals of robotics working in small teams to design, build, and program robots based on the FIRST Tech Challenge hardware and Java software. Students will be registered with the FIRST organization as FTC Team Fix-Its 17241.
